Young At Heart is a social group for single people around the age of 50 and over in the Tyneside area, if you are younger than 50 but over 40 contact us, the lower age limit is not a hard and fast rule and we do have other members in their 40's.

We are not a dating group, we exist to go with others to events where it may be difficult to go alone, or where you may feel out of place alone, we regularly visit live bands, we have an active walking group, we often have meals out as a group, day and weekend trips away, quiz nights, theatre trips etc and always welcome new ideas from members.

We meet monthly to let members know what is planned for the next few weeks and to invite proposals for future activities.

The final programme of activity is planned by some of the members who have formed a committee for that purpose, wherever possible it is based on suggestions put forward by members of the whole group.

We are NOT a business. We have a membership policy but those thinking of joining and who want to "test the water" may attend three events before being asked to join.

Membership is now set at £10 per year making it extremely competitive in comparison to other similar groups. The charge is to cover the cost of phone calls and printing etc, we do NOT aim to be profit making.
